The feature film “Walesa. Man of Hope”, directed by Andrzej Wajda, tells the life story of Nobel Peace Prize winner and founder of Poland’s Solidarity movement, Lech Walesa, and it has been chosen as Poland’s Oscar candidate. It will also be shown at festivals around the world.

Chimney Poland did VFX and digital distribution in cinemas for this film. This project was Chimney’s third cooperation with director Andrzej Wajda, cinematograher Paweł Edelman and production company Akson Studio. The previous cooperations were “Katyń” and “Tatarak” (The Sweet Rush). “Walesa. Man of Hope” premiered during the Venice Film Festival in September and will start showing in Polish cinemas on Friday October 4th.
